Marie Ortiz

Marie grew up in Southern California and discovered her interest in education early on, inspired by her curiosity about how children learn and the kinds of support that help them succeed. Over time, this interest developed into hands-on experience, first through three years of providing behavioral support for children and then three more years as a classroom paraprofessional. Known for her steady presence, positive attitude, and openness to collaboration, Marie values creating a supportive environment where students feel cared for while growing academically and socially. She is now in her first year at Rising Sun Montessori School as a Specialized Academic Instructor and is excited to be part of the school community.

Outside of work, Marie enjoys spending time with her family, solving puzzles, strolling through nature, reading, and listening to music.
