Kelsey Zeigler

Kelsey discovered her passion for Montessori education while living in Malawi, Africa. In 2011, she spent a year helping to develop a special needs program, and in 2014 she returned for two more years to help establish a new school and oversee its finances until a new leader was appointed. Immersed in the school environment nearly every day, she realized she wanted to return to the United States to pursue teaching. Since then, she has taught a variety of ages in Montessori classrooms and continues to find joy in the Montessori philosophy.

Outside the classroom, Kelsey enjoys spending time in nature; whether kayaking, bike riding, or walking her Doberman, “Dobie.” She treasures time with her four nieces and one nephew, who have been a joy to watch grow up; the youngest graduates college this year.

Kelsey is thrilled to be part of the Rising Sun Montessori community and loves the family spirit it brings.
